It often happens in Italian industrial families that the first generation creates the firm, the second generation will unite it and the third generation eventually destroys it, or in the case of Gucci they sold all of their shares making it a public company. The family was very well known for their public quarrels and stormy family life. Paolo Gucci for example was furious with his father Aldo and he reported him to the authorities for tax evasion, he was sentenced to nine years in jail. Maurizio Gucci was the last member of the Gucci family who sold his shares, but was then murdered by his former wife Patrizia Reggiani. One would never have guessed that this fashion house had such a turbulent history.

This brand is recognized all over the world and what other accessory can compare with a Gucci purse by your side? This brand is recognized worldwide, even hip hop songs by famous artists such as Jay-Z, Missy Elliott, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent etc use Gucci in their lyrics, and it is the most regularly cited trade name in music. The hit television shows Ugly Betty and Friends have also mentioned this brand name quite often, however some people claim that they are not coincidental, but paid endorsements.

This fashion house has come a long way with highs and lows but probably is one of the highest recognized brands in the world today. One has to remember that the fashion industry is gung ho, thus with Cartier, Prada, Fendi, Valentino etc as your competitors you have to perform well and keep good standards. Taste does differ, but surely you will find the perfect handbag perhaps it's a pink, black, gold, metallic etc choosing a Gucci handbag may well be an exciting experience.
